A top adult film producer sued Los Angeles County on Friday over a voter-approved measure requiring porn actors to wear condoms, saying the law infringes on their First Amendment rights and was driving the industry out of southern California.

Adult film producer Vivid Entertainment is seeking to overturn the newly passed Los Angeles County ballot measure requiring porn performers to wear condoms during filming.

The lawsuit was filed in federal court Friday on behalf of Vivid, one of the nation’s most prominent adult film makers, along with two porn performers. The suit argues that the condom-porn measure violates the 1st Amendment protection of free expression. The ballot measure was passed with 57% of the vote in November.

The new ordinance “imposes an intolerable burden on the exercise of rights under the First Amendment,” the suit says.

D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray says Redskins name change should be discussed

The Redskins’ resurgence has District politicos once again talking about what it would take to relocate the team back inside the city limits. But Mayor Vincent C. Gray today suggested there would have to be a controversial prerequisite to any stadium deal: a name change, or at least discussion of one.

That was the message sent by D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray, following a press conference Wednesday. Gray said that the team, which lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC wild-card game Sunday, must consider a name change if it is serious about moving from FedEx Field in Landover, Md., to a stadium inside D.C. proper, according to Yahoo! Sports.

“I think that if they get serious with the team coming back to Washington, there’s no doubt there’s going to have to be a discussion about that,” Gray said, according to the Washington Post. "I think it has become a lightning rod, and I would be love to be able to sit down with the team … and see if a change should be made. There’s a precedent for this, and I think there needs to be a dispassionate discussion about this, and do the right thing.”

AJ McCarron, girlfriend Katherine Webb enjoying limelight after fixation sparks Internet fervor

Katherine Webb (girlfriend of A.J. McCarron) celebrates after the 2013 BCS Championship game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Sun Life Stadium. Alabama won 42-14

At first AJ McCarron went to his dad; the second to his mom.

Then a bunch to other assorted family got in for high fives and pats on the back as McCarron, standing on an electrical box, reached up and into the front row of Sun Life Stadium where Alabama fans wildly celebrated the Crimson Tide's 42-14 destruction of Notre Dame for a second consecutive BCS title behind their star quarterback.

It was then, finally, when McCarron reached over and kissed his girlfriend, Katherine Webb, the reigning Miss Alabama and a young lady that, due to ESPN repeatedly flashing to her during the game broadcast, is America's newest celebrity.

So let it be known, here on a charmed night in the charmed life of AJ McCarron, it was still family first. Webb just had to wait.

Boulder prepares to renovate Comcast franchise agreement

How to provide better service on the city's educational and government channels, make sure city residents get good cable service and manage technological changes are some of the concerns Boulder City Council members have as they prepare to renew Comcast's franchise agreement.
The non-exclusive franchise allows Comcast access to city rights-of-way and generates more than $1 million in revenue for the city's general fund, as well as $137,926 a year for Educational Channel 22 and Government Channel 8.

Comcast and city officials are working on a survey of customers in preparation for negotiating the franchise agreement, which is also constrained by federal law.

David Bowie's new album cover is a masterstroke

David Bowie's

So it's just a white square with text over an old image, is it? Think again – The Next Day's cover makes you use your mind.

David Bowie's The Next Day
This is a RECORD COVER. This writing is the DESIGN upon the record cover. The DESIGN is to help SELL the record. We hope to draw your attention to it and encourage you to pick it up. When you have done that maybe you'll be persuaded to listen to the music – in this case XTC's Go 2 album.

The Hipgnosis-designed sleeve for XTC's Go 2 album is, famously, an essay about the design of the cover itself, and how it is intended as a marketing trick. As the music industry has shifted from analogue to digital, the words have subtly shifted. "This is a CASSETTE COVER" was joined by "This is a COMPACT DISC COVER".
