Police Arrested Nearly nude driver wearing only an unzipped jacket, charges DWI
Catherine Giaquinto, a 36-year old woman
was issued a DWI (driving while intoxicated) after crashing into a New Jersey retaining wall and then leaving
the scene was nearly nude.
Officer Joseph Pensado stopped her
moments after the accident and said she told him that she couldn’t remember
where she was going or that she had crashed in Sparta Township and was wearing
only an unzipped jacket when DWI found her. The officer asked Giaquinto about
being naked and she denied being nude. The officer reported seeing clothes in
the car and asked her to get dressed. Pensade said, after several minutes she
emerged with her dress on inside-out and backwards.
She is facing numerous charges, including
DWI, after she allegedly crashed her car while drunk and wearing only an
unzipped jacket when authorities found her.
The nearly naked driver was taken to a
local police station, where she allegedly became combative. While the nearly
nude driver faces DWI charges, she was also hit with six other violations.
Sources say the New York resident was
stopped in Sparta Township by a police officer, who observed that the car she
was driving fit the description from an earlier complaint.
In that incident, a caller notified
police that a driver crashed into a stone wall and drove away from the site of
the accident.
When the officer stopped the car moments
later, police noticed damage on the vehicle that was consistent with the crash
scene.
After pulling the vehicle safely over,
the officer noticed Giaqauinto was wearing very little clothing. Additionally,
a dress and other articles of clothing lay on a seat nearby.
Police instructed the woman to get fully
dressed. However, the reports shows that she struggled with her balance,
slurred her speech and put her dress on backwards.
